Anyone and everyone going out onto the water for training or a practice must have an electronically signed waiver on file before they will be allowed to get into a boat. It is imperative that each member of your team electronically signs his or her waiver as soon as possible. This includes your team's steersperson, drummer and alternates as well as a steersperson, drummer or coach hired by your team.
A recent web site system upgrade allows us to continuously view whether or not teams have completed their waivers. We will review a team's roster prior to 8:00 AM each morning and those team members who have not signed their waivers by that time will not be permitted to go out for their practice. NO EXCEPTIONS.
No hard copies will be accepted.
How to electronically sign your Waiver:
When you (a paddler, steersperson, drummer, alternate, or coach) are invited to join your team, an email is sent to you which provides information for you to electronically sign your waiver on our website. To do this each team member should sign into the system using the PADDLER'S LOGIN tab at the top of the site and in the Team Members section each member will be able to sign their waiver and update their information as they see fit.
If you or any of your team members experience problems with this system, please file a support ticket using our online support system.

Only teams who have appropriately registered as corporate teams will be listed to participate in their designated corporate challenge races.
A community team that displays any of the elements listed above will be subject to investigation on race day and may be denied participation.
Community teams are comprised of team members brought together through a community, social, club or family network. Examples of community teams include:
Amateur Sports Clubs
Out of State Teams
Any team that:
Does not reside in Pennsylvania AND does not practice out of Lloyd Hall.
The Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival reserves the right to review all team entries and notify teams that are registered in the wrong category. Failure to register for the appropriate category in a timely manner will result in being disqualified from participating in the Festival.
In order to secure your spot in the 2017 edition of our Festival, you will need the following information ready to complete the online registration process:
1. Only those individuals who will be managing the team through the online system must register on behalf of the team, i.e., team captain.
2. Using either Visa or MasterCard, full payment must be made at time you register your team. The credit card used does not have to be under your name, and you can enter the name of the card holder when submitting payment details.
3. Your valid email address. All information about managing your team will be sent to the email address you use during registration.
Note on Waivers
Team Captains: Through the crew management system, you can invite (or cancel) your team members, which upon accepting the invite, they will register themselves and sign the waiver digitally.
Participants: Upon accepting the invite from your team captain to join, you will be brought to the PIDBF website to enter your personal details and sign your waiver. You must sign the waiver electronically in order to be eligible to paddle in a boat.
All teams are required to have a PIDBF Qualified Steersperson for their practices. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Those teams that currently do not have a PIDBF Qualified Steersperson or have not made arrangements with an already PIDBF Qualified Steersperson will need to hire a steersperson from the PIDBF Qualified Steersperson pool.
Please note: ONLY professional steerspeople provided by Pan Am Dragon Boat, our Festival's Service provide, will steer on Festival Day. NO PIDBF Qualified Steerspersons will steer during the Festival. For-Hire Steersperson Fee: $50.00.
