Registration and Team Type Information

Beginning on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 11:00AM you will be able to register your team online.

If you experience any difficulties with registering online, please use the support system.

2010 Registration Fees

Community Teams             

$1,600 USD

Corporate Teams

$2,650 USD

Out-of-Town Teams 

$1,000 USD

Your registration fee includes 3 practices prior to race day.   Please click here for more information on your practices.

Corporate Teams

Corporate Teams are those teams that are supported by a for-profit business. Any team providing recognition to a corporate entity through the hanging of signage within the team tent or logo placement on apparel will fall into this category.  This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Banks
  • Insurance companies
  • Manufacturing
  • Pharmaceutical companies
  • Law firms
  • Media
     

Community Teams

Community teams are comprised of team members brought together through a community, social or family network.  Examples of community teams include:

  • Colleges
  • Families
  • High schools
  • Hospitals
  • Neighborhoods
  • Religious organizations
     
  • Universities
     

Out-of-Town Teams

Any team that does not reside in Pennsylvania or practice with the Festival volunteers out of Lloyd Hall.

Please Note

The Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival reserves the right to review all team entries and notify teams that are registered in the wrong category. Failure to register for the appropriate category in a timely manner will result in being disqualified from participating in the Festival.

Registration

In order to secure your spot in the 2010 edition of our Festival, you will need the following information ready to complete the online registration process:

  1. Only those individuals who will be managing the team through the online system must register on behalf of the team, i.e., team captain.
     
  2. Using either Visa or Mastercard, full payment must be made at time you register your team.  The credit card used does not have to be under your name, and you can enter the name of the card holder when submitting payment details.
  3. Your valid email address.  All information about managing your team will be sent to the email address you use during registration.

Note on Waivers

Team Captains:  Through the crew management system, you can invite (or cancel) your team members, which upon accepting the invite, they will register themselves and sign the waiver digitally.

Participants:  Upon accepting the invite from your team captain to join, you will be brought to the PIDBF website to enter your personal details and sign your waiver.  You must sign the waiver electronically in order to be eligible to paddle in a boat.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel a team registration by sending an email to Carol Lee Lindner info@philadragonboatfestival.com.  Please provide your name and the name of your team.  If you request a cancellation before June 1, 2010 you will be able to get your registration fee refunded minus a $250.00 processing fee.  If you cancel your team registration on or after June 1, 2010, you will NOT be refunded.
